Joss Stone

But that September 2003 release, Joss admits, "started out as a side project and turned into this huge thing.

Keith SempleKeith Semple from Larne, Northern Ireland, was a winner on the hit TV show "Popstars: The Rivals" throughout the Christmas period in 2003. He was the first to be picked for the band with over six hundred thousand votes beating the next contestant to the mark by over one hundred and fifty thousand.

African Children’s Choir

African Children’s ChoirThe African Children’s Choir is an ambassador for over 11 million African children who are AIDS orphans. Through their voice and their music the children of the Choir are bringing Africa to the rest of the world.

Ms. Dynamite

Ms. DynamiteThe Live8 concert in Hyde Park in July 2005 saw Ms Dynamite return to the stage after a two year absence. She had vanished from the public eye at the height of her new-found fame. Her priorities had suddenly changed leading her to place her music career on hold. She gave birth to her son, Shavaar, in July 2003. After a one year sabbatical with her newborn, Ms Dynamite began to write her second album in Summer 2004. She flew to Los Angeles to record with hip hop producer Chink Santana (best known for his work with Ja Rule and Ashanti). "He is just madly multi-talented he can sing, rap, play instruments, everything. There was a musical connection straight away."

Hanna Francis

Hannah is a determined talented young lady. Hannah’s musical journey began at the very young age of 9 singing lead in many of her school and church events. Her vocal inspirations include some of the greats such as Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, being exposed to such wonderful vocal talent helped mould her into a confident creative individual. Hannah joined a youth choir called UK Voices in 1997. The choir was founded by Lawrence Johnson, who co-founded LCGC and is a vocal coach to Lemar, Westlife, Ms Dynamite to name a few. Since then she has entered various show cases in particular "Sing & Deliver" where she blossomed into a professional solo artist, who always gave the audience her best.

George Inscoe

Appearances - 2005

George comes from a family immersed in music. Both grandmothers and his mother and uncle are singers and his father, grandfather and great-grandfather are organists. George started to sing scales before he was 2 and was sitting at a church organ helping his father play in services from infancy. At the age of 6 he announced that he would like to become a Cathedral chorister like his cousin. In September 2002 he became a founder member of Oxford Boys’ Choir and the following year was awarded a choral scholarship to Canterbury Cathedral Choir. Like all the choristers there he attends St. Edmund’s school in Canterbury and lives in the ancient Cathedral Choir House. Boarding is great fun, he says almost like in the Harry Potter books. In October 2005 George sang a solo role in an international production of Puccini’s opera "La Boheme" at the opera house in Victoria, Gozo.

Katherine Jenkins

African Children’s ChoirMezzo Soprano Katherine Jenkins’ debut album ’Premiere’ went straight to number one in the classical charts outselling operatic greats like Kiri te Kanawa, Lesley Garrett and Angela Gheorghiu. For Katherine it was a dream come true, "My three ambitions have always been to sing at the Millennium Stadium and the Sydney Opera House, and to get to number 1 in the classical charts and I can’t believe I’ve done all three.

The Magnets

The MagnetsAll The Magnets music comes from the mouth alone. Genius vocal percussionist Andy provides the groove. From bass drum to high hat, he produces entire drum tracks with his mouth. Colin adds the bass, while James, Michael, Nic and Steve provide the layers of harmony and lead vocals on top.

Wayne Ellington

Wayne EllingtonWayne’s humble spirit, magnificent voice and extraordinary talent has set a high standard for up and coming artists. He studied music at Brunel University where he won the prestigious Sheridan Instrumental Prize. Since leaving university, he has worked as a vocal tutor, coaching individuals and groups, most notably Brunel’s University Choir. Wayne has been singing for 29 years and developed hid distinctive tones in his local church where he also conducted the church choir. During his collaboration with the ’London Community Gospel Choir’ and the ’Kingdom Choir’ Wayne continues to develop his vocal skills in Jazz and Opera which has opened doors enabling him to travel around the world.

Carla Ellington

Heather Small

Heather SmallHeather was honoured to be part of the Tsunami Relief Concert at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, which raised £1.25 million. She performed alongside such artistes as Eric Clapton, Jools Holland, Manic Street Preachers, Snow Patrol, Katherine Jenkins, Lulu, Embrace and Charlotte Church. More recently, ’Proud’ was chosen as the official song for the London Olympic Bid 2012 - a campaign that won the UK the chance to hold the games in 2012.

Natascha Sohl

Appearances - 2004

Natascha SohlUp and coming British singer-songwriter, Natascha Sohl, brought a Rock element to the Young Voices 2004 concerts. Natascha released her first single, "Are You Ready" in August 2004, with her second Single "Give It All Away" released the following December. Natascha has more than 5 years of gigs under her belt, has supported Glam-Rock giants T-REX, and has played many London venues, Universities and Colleges. With increasing amounts of press, radio play and superb reviews of her music coming through Natascha is snapping at the heels of Avril and all the rest.

Chantz

Appearances - 2004 and 2005

chantzWhen Chantz was six years old, his mother took him to see the Spike Lee film Mo’ Better Blues about the dramatic life of a trumpet player, and from that time on his fate was sealed. A CD of Louis Armstrong’s Greatest Hits confirmed his ambition, and got him hooked on playing.

Declan Galbraith

Declan GalbraithDeclan’s love of music stems from an early childhood spent listening to his late grandfather, who Declan affectionately called Poppy Ben. Perhaps his biggest success came during a nationwide tour of Young Voices concerts when breaking the Guinness World Record. It was at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast in December 2002 when he was simultaneously linked with more than 80,000 children from all over the country who accompanied him in achieving the world’s largest choral sing. He has now recorded his second album, which was released in the spring of 2005.

The Gospel Academy

Formed in 2000, The Academy of Gospel Music provides vocal coaching to all areas of the community. Programmes have included work in France, Germany and the USA as well as facilitating with The London Community Gospel Choir, a National Workshop for Gospel Music. With a special focus for young people, many choirs have been developed to participate at various events across the country. Choir Co-ordinator, Clyde Ford (JJ) is recognized as one of the UK’s most outstanding vocal trainers, particularly in the field of Gospel Music, having over 20 years vocal and instrument training experience. He is also known internationally for his contribution to gospel music. He wrote and composed "Love is Patient, Love is Kind" in 1999 and "Hold On" in 2003.

Chris de Burgh

Chris de BurghBy the late 80s, it had taken Chris de Burgh more than a decade to become the "overnight success" so many mistakenly believed him to be. To those unfamiliar with his steady, determined rise to the top, he appeared to have arrived suddenly - out of nowhere - clutching major, world-wide hits with The Lady In Red and its accompanying album, Into The Light.
